This is Part I of a two-part course (details here). Part II is the instructor-led Applied Measurement Course, which is purchased upon completion of Part I (Self-study). Part I is entirely “on demand”, so you’ll work at your convenience, and at your own pace. It consists of online text, interactive practice quizzes, and video reviews of each of the 16 chapters. A hardcopy of the textbook is available upon request, at no extra charge.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Are there any other classes required in order to get my license?
The 90-hour Pre-license Broker Course is the only class required by the state, in order to test for your Illinois Real Estate License. You will need to complete Part I and Part II (Applied Measurement, $150).
What is included in the price?
All 3 packages include tuition, textbook, in-class testing, and transcript. There are no other costs associated with taking the course.
How long does it take to complete Part I?
Most students complete the Self-study course in 2-3 weeks. However, you may take as long as you need – there is no maximum time limit. The time is not tracked – you’ll only spend whatever time it takes to master the material.
What if I have questions while I’m studying?
We offer unlimited support throughout the Self-study course. You are welcome to call us during our extended hours of operation (see bottom of page), or to contact us through the form embedded in the Online Course with any questions related to the material.
If I find that self-study isn’t working for me, can I switch to a classroom course?
Yes! We’re happy to move you into one of our in-classroom courses, at no extra charge.
What kind of guarantee do you offer
For the Online Course, we offer TWO guarantees (that’s two more than most other schools!) First, if you’re not happy with the Self-study Course (Part I) for any reason, we’ll provide a full refund up to seven days after your purchase. Second, once you pass the course and obtain your Real Estate license, we guarantee that you’ll receive at least one job offer from an area Real Estate agency, or we’ll refund your entire registration fee (Part I and Part II). Most of our students receive multiple offers from a variety of agencies, whether they’re seeking part-time or full-time positions.
What do I do after I complete Part I?
You’ll register for Part II (the Applied Measurement Course). There is no test at the end of Part I – the class final exam happens on the last day of the Applied Measurement Course (or later, by arrangement).
What if I don’t pass the class exam - do I have to pay to repeat the class?
No, you may take the class exam as many times as needed, in order to achieve the 75% minimum required to pass (many other schools require you to pay for additional exams). Due to the excellent instruction at CRES, it’s rare for our students to not pass the exam.
